NATE VERA, CAMP DIRECTOR
Nate Vera was a collegiate basketball player for Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has extensive experience coaching and leading basketball camps, including: Camp Shalom Sports Head Counselor, basketball referee for Yale Sports Enterprises, Boys Basketball Freshmen Head Coach for Park Vista High School, and Coach for Florida CATS 7th Grade AA team which ranked among the top 25 in the nation.
Currently, Nate is the youngest Varsity Head Coach in South Florida school districts. During his own high school years, he played over 100 games and was the team captain. He was also selected to represent his high school in the county All-Star game.
He is the founder and proprietor of Perseverance Athletic Training, and has trained and worked with over 100 athletes over the past 2 years. Several of them moved on to play Division I and II college basketball. He teaches his clients not only basketball skills, but also helps them build solid work ethic, perseverance, and Christian values. Nate and his new wife, Anna, have a heart for serving underprivileged and inner-city youth, giving young people a chance to increase their potential through athletic training and character building.
