Both services will have Christmas Carols and worship of our Lord's birth but the evening service will also have Candlelight and a special showing of Vertical Church Film's The Shepherd.

Over 2,000 years ago, after an exhausting day of traveling and selling lambs to merchants for religious sacrifice, a lowly group of shepherds experience the most impactful moment in human history.

Student Float Trip

June 5th and 6th is our float trip located in Steelville, MO. We will be leaving the church Monday morning at 7:30am, and Canoeing down the Huzzah River for the day. The boys will be sleeping in tents, and the girls have the option to sleep in a cabin or have their own separate tent site. The cost is $35 for those staying in tents, and $45 for the girls that want to sleep in the cabin. We will provide meals, but $5 additional will be needed for a fast food meal on the trip home. We plan to be back at church by 5:30pm Tuesday evening. We have two adult women sponsors and three adult men sponsors going on the trip.

I believe the trip will be loads of fun for the students and we will have time set aside for worship and Bible teaching. I would also like to set up a walk through of how they can have their own personal quiet time with the Lord. John 15 where Jesus speaks of us staying connected to the vine will be our focus.

I hope all your students will be able to join us for the time of adventure and biblical fellowship.

Women's Ministry Road Trip

Ladies, have you ever been on a road trip with girlfriends? I have fond memories of many trips home from college with my besties. The time spent together in my "78 mustang will forever hold a special place in my heart. If don't have those memories to look back on then next month is your time to make some new memories as we venture out with the gals to the Beth Moore Living Proof Live conference in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We will carpool our way there on Friday morning March 17, stop along the way for lunch, settle into our hotel, eat dinner and head over to the U.S. Cellular Center for the evening session of worship and be taught the word by Beth. Saturday will include the morning session from 9 to 12:15 and then we'll head back to St. Louis. Cedar Rapids is a four hour drive from our church which I imagine is just long enough to have a fun time of fellowship and sharing. The conference fee is $69 and hotels range in price from $100-$150 per night, and can be shared by two or up to four ladies. You can purchase your ticket online at Then email Colleen at to let her know you'll be joining us. Please let the word out and invite your friends who may be looking to deepen their faith and join in a wonderful community of ladies!

On January 1st, we rolled out a new initiative emphasizing one of our Harvest Four Pillars – Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness. We used the acronym, REAP, to describe the four essential steps: Reach out, Evangelize, Assimilate and Pray.

This initiative is designed to both help us and challenge us to live out what we confess and take active part in building God’s church through making disciples. (Matthew 28:19-20).

Leading others toward conversion and faith in Christ is the essence of biblical discipleship. Jesus extended this universal call to multiplication and fruitfulness, yes, even commanded all His followers to be actively involved in it. There is no greater joy than helping someone to come to Christ and watching their lives be changed by the power of Jesus.

Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:1–2).

To get involved in the REAP stop by the Information Desk on Sunday.

Pirates for Purity

Watch the video announcement from Pastor Mac.

Students are being introduced to sexually impure content at a younger and younger age. It is imperative that the church teach on this topic to equip students with the biblical answer to a sinful world.

Christ told us in Matthew 5:29–30 that if we sin with our right eye or right hand, to get rid of them. If we were missing an eye, we would wear an eye patch, and if we replaced our hand we would have a hook, making us a Pirate for Purity.

On April 17, 7–9pm, Harvest St. Louis will be hosting an event for students about sexual purity in a society totally against it. Landon MacDonald, Pastor for Student Ministries at HBC Rolling Meadows and the son of Pastor James MacDonald, will be joining us to teach students the dangers of sexual impurity and the biblical principle to get rid of whatever is causing you to sin. Getting rid of whatever causes you to sin can also apply to the cost of following Jesus, not just sexual purity. This is going to be one of the most important events for your student. Please get them signed up at

Topics include:

  • Pornography
  • Sex before marriage
  • Being alone with the opposite sex
  • Dealing with temptation
